India is a land of rich culture and diversity. Each state of India have something special in it. But one thing,  that is different in each state is their cuisine. America has American cuisine, Italy has Italian cuisine, France has French cuisine, but India has Punjabi cuisine, Pahadi cuisine, South Indian cuisine, North Indian cuisine, Gujrati cuisine, Rajasthani cuisine, etc. etc..

1. Pakode





 


Pakode are made up from gram flour and other vegetables. They are made by mixing veggies like potato, onion, Brinjal, spinach, chilies, paneer and other things in gram flour liquid and frying them on high flame. They are eaten all over India. You can easily find a shop selling Pakodas in most of the cities of India.

Chole Bathoore basically belongs to the Punjabi cuisine but is eaten is in every part of North India.
It consist of a chickpeas curry and a fried bread of flour called bathoora. You can find it on streets as well as fine dining restaurants.

Paw Bhaji is a very famous dish in north and central parts of India. It consists of paw, a bun and bhaji, which is a mashed potatoes curry. This simple dish is very tasty and very popular.

Stuffed parthas are eaten in almost every home of India. You can found a popular stuffed parthas shop in every 5 to 10  kilometers. Usually they have stuffings of mashed potatoes, cloiflower, raddish and panner. Dhokla is a very famous Gujrati dish. It is made up of gram flour. It is very lite and healthy. There is one one special dhokla made up from rice and it is white in color.

Falafel is very popular in cenral India. In India, small falafel shops are getting closed, but you can still found it in some central states of India. Falafel consists of a fluffy bread or bun filled with different veggies.

“Gupta ji ke burger” is an Indian version of burger. The bun is deep fried and it is filled with a slice of onion, tomato, paneer and cabbage. You can easily found them on road side stalls, but I will not prefer you to have them because they are very unhealthy and unhygienic. “Gupta ji ke burger” is not a brand or outlet, it’s just a name every street burger stall used to keep.

India is known for it’s sweets. In India, sweets are not deserts, they are a totally different cuisine. There are more then 1000 type of Indian sweets. You can easily found a sweet shop near every colony. Now these sweet shops are getting standardized and going world wide. Bikanerwala   and Haldiram, also started as a sweet shop but now, they are not smaller then a MNC.

Panipuri is a crunchy semolina ball of filled with tamarind sauce, mint water and mashed potatoes. This small bomb goes like a blast of taste in mouth. It is called by different names in different regions of India like golgappa in delhi.

Falooda is like an Indian ice cream shake. It is made with Vermicellis, falooda ice cream, rose syrup, few different type of seeds and milk. This falooda is super heavy and super tasty. The taste is heavenly.

 Chuski just consists of shaved ice and flavor syrup. This thing is loved by children, but I will not prefer you guys to have it from the street because the ice that most of them use is very bad and we don’t even know about the flavors that they use.

Samosa is the most common street food that you can found in every state of India. Samosa consists of a cruchy  deep fried layer filled with mashed potatoes or some other thing. With some mint and tamarind sauce, this crunchy pack is super awesome.
